It is a common expression. It's also an ethnic slur, though I have never personally heard it used that way. Homonyms make everything a little more confusing!

It's always plummed me when I tried to write the common phrase on here. I thought it was because it was part of a name of female body part/chest. I had no idea it was some sort of racial slur.
Glad I'm not the only one. My only guess for the reason was the same as yours. I see that @stilljustme2 has explained why above. But even so, it's a surprise to me.
