I've gone off the belching and farting

My last post crossed with your previous one, cos I was busy rewatching that section on Twitch (and, I'm guessing, you were too lol).

It was clear to me what the situation was, because he was just recounting to us what he had been previously talking about with that other guy (George?). But never mind, you are quite safe from things going too far. They can either fart/belch or fail at it when they try.

I am guessing we will get some of this happening with townies, in the same way that some of them autonomously drop down to do annoying push-ups; let us hope it does not infest our towns with too many green noxious fumes.

I don't mind this at all. There are a lot of households where this is hilarious and families that embrace it. It's not my cup of tea but I also don't want all my families being carbon copies of eachother.

Well, let's just hope that a bunch of Sims gathered around a fire at a weenie roast don't suddenly explode like fire-crackers.

That tranquil picture of 4 Sims gathered around a bonfire could lead to carnage.

LOOK AT THE KID TO THE LEFT - LOOK CLOSELY. That could get nasty - the other 3 are just starting to squeeze theirs out too.

ie - Imagine like 20 Sims around that fire - all squeezing away.

I kind of wish swearing wasn't bundled together with burping and farting in the bad manners trait. I love the idea of a classy, refined sim who happens to have the mouth of a sailor.

It's impolite but often necessary -- you don't want people (or Sims) swelling up with gas they can't get rid of. What makes a difference is the reaction -- if a person is slightly embarrassed and begs pardon, that's one thing but someone who lets out a long one then laughs about it is totally different. And sometimes you feel free to let go in the privacy of one's own home or around family/close friends, but you wouldn't do that during a job interview or on a big date (so better not order those franks & beans for lunch or dinner B) ).

This whole thread is making me laugh. In my crystal ball I see the real reason laundry is coming to the sims eventually... to clean up the skid-marks!

This is the cliff-hanger that is gripping the forum. We don't actually know how far they have taken this until we get our paws on Parenthood.

They did it on purpose - they snuck it into the Liveplay commentary for this reason.

You cannot rule out seeing Sims with brown patches after trying hard to squeeze their farts out.

Personally, I think the whole thing is jolly uncouth.

I would have traded the belching and farting (and potentially follow-through) stuff for Daycare.

Lol. Somehow I don't think it would have been quite as quick for them to add Daycare instead of belching and farting. More's the pity.

Feeding them franks & beans helps too. If I'm feeling silly I'll have my Sim whip up a big pot o' franks & beans and serve it to her club. The results are, to say the least, a gas.

It is a common expression. It's also an ethnic slur, though I have never personally heard it used that way. Homonyms make everything a little more confusing!

I didn't know it was a slur. :(

It's always plummed me when I tried to write the common phrase on here. I thought it was because it was part of a name of female body part/chest. I had no idea it was some sort of racial slur.
