I've never experienced the negative moodlets in this game

i've had this game a while and put some decent hours into it however i've never properly experienced the negative moodlets.

Any time i have an angry/sad moodlet it always ends up being suppressed by the 3 or 4 happy or inspired ones i get from just being in a well decorated room or painting a picture etc

for example i cancelled new years eve because i just couldn't be bothered going through with it and everyone got the 12 hour sad moodlet but since they had some happy and inspired ones they just went about as normal and didn't appear sad at all.

i don't even see them as a hindrance at this point as they seem to just cancel them out.

  • I think the only time in my game is when my sim and her husband split up. She was gutted for days and would sit at the table eating alone with her lip trembling, on the verge of tears. She would have fits of crying every so often and walked around looking totally miserable. I felt SO sorry for her!

Her best friend would call around every day to try and cheer her up, but it went on like that for quite a while. It was awesome :D

will have to try this and see if they react like that

knowing my luck they'll go exercise and then be energised whilst having an happy moodlet for something else and forget they got divorced

Here in sims 4, it feels like sims dont have memories that they used to have in the previous games, they can call name and fight their enemies but after that they talk and joke as if nothing happens between them, compared to sims 3 it takes day for sim to recover from a breakup or cheating spouses and it takes a while for them to be in a good term since the cheated one usually reject any kind of friendly interaction from the cheating sim and dont forget they tend to make a disgust or angry face when their enemies is in the same room, at least that is what i remembered.

Yep ive noticed this once i made a sim get divorced and use mean interactions until they where complelty in the red and they just talked to each other like none of that happened

Only thing they wouldnt do was romatic interactions but it wouldnt be hard to get back to that stage
  • This is why I always use the mod "Happy Buffs Changed to Fine" - it eliminates happy buffs from decorations and full needs, so there's a greater chance of experiencing an angry, sad, or other negative moodlets.
