This is one of my biggest pet peeves with the game. These sims have no memories, so they only care as long as the moodlet lasts, and the moodlets don't last long. Maybe 24 hours angry after your spouse cheated is fine if your lifespan is short, but if you play on a very long lifespan or with aging off, 24 hours is ridiculous. Or 2 days after a break up or someone dies. I wish they would have made the moodlets scale to the lifespan. So if you're playing a very long lifespan, your sim will be angry for longer. Or sad for longer after someone dies.
And the moodlets need to be much stronger, especially at first, so that they'll overpower all of the happy moodlets. Or perhaps the strong initial anger could decrease in intensity over days, like your sim was slowly getting over it. Not just angry for 24 hours then forget that it ever happened.
