I do not play 4 much but yesterday I was trying to achieve something in game when my male sim caught his girlfriend flirting with another sim and he went off it for the rest of the sim day and the next morning over it which really surprised me as usually I find emotions swing too wildly from one thing to another but it proves emotions are there but as another player stated they don’t seem balanced enough. How long were you trying to keep him depressed? I wonder if it matters how long they were actually together and the relationship scores they had together? however they don't even get upset much when their family members die around them do they?

I still play 2 all the time with a ton of mods and CC to modernize sims/the game and despite 3 being my first introduction to the sims games ever I love playing 2 for all the sims animations and memories :)

Yeah, they weren't together super long but they were engaged. And then later, my Sim was dating someone else, caught another guy flirting with her (she was rejecting the flirt), and then he got all depressed and could not be cheered up. Then I had to use a cheat to make him happy. Ugh.

While we're talking about improving relationships, I really want an attraction system. I also want Sims to roll relationship-related whims/wants again. I mean, not just "wants to kiss someone," but like "wants to kiss (sim)." I loved that in TS3.
