I tried to replay that story from TS2 I mentioned here before on page 1, where the son catches his mother cheating. But the son (Malcolm Landgraab in my case) didn't do anything. He got a little embarrassed from seeing woohoo (overridden by officially having a girlfriend since that day) and then he left the room. I sent him in again, he left again. And again. About the rest of the story: I had to manually choose every single interaction :|
So that's how "son catches mother while cheating on his father" plays out in The Sims 4: Not at all.
The slapping does happen. Sometimes. But they have to catch their spouse in bed with another Sim, or the other Sim has to be very tenaciously flirting with the spouse for about three hours and then it happens on its own (and then, there might even be some shouting!). Or wait. Wasn't it "three hours until death by cardiac explosion"?
I don't know, the two are very close to eachother anyways.
