Journey To Batuu Gameplay Details Discussion

I really don't like the RPG (light on the replayable part) direction the series is going on. There are better games I can play if I want that. The Sims is supposed to be about simulation, story telling and management. It's not supposed to be about quests and fighting. If they wanted to do something like this, it should be a spinoff.
I also don't understand if this is an actual world you can live in, or is it a vacation world?
