EA obviously doesn't own the rights to Star Wars. They just have the license from Disney. A portion of this game pack's revenue will be paid as royalties to Disney, so it can be argued that this pack should be more expensive than other packs.
It could also be argued that it should be cheaper. Disney really wants to attract young female viewers, and partnering with The Sims is a great way to do it. So maybe Disney should actually be paying for this opportunity.
Most problably Disney has put some money on this. It will be a well done pack i think.... just not for me :)
I don't understand why they wouldn't just make it a theme park, so everyone would have enjoyed it. Almost everyone wants theme parks...
As it is, it's not even a full space Star Wars pack. It's a vacation world (you can't live in it) and the aliens aren't species, but masks... It's story driven and not sandbox. I feel bad for the people who wanted more out of this.
Yeah you mention all my negatives about this pack... I'ld pass on everything besides the sandbox play. That's what i like about the sims. Let's wait for the livestream to see if we can customize it so that it isn't always the same story/experience.
