If you haven't noticed, there are plenty of things in general that "they" haven't added. I don't believe we can expect every single holiday thing to be added ever. I couldn't have my Sims celebrate a Danish Christmas either, but I don't really care, since I don't have a need for my game to be an exact replica of the real world.
