Just how stupid can sims be? Well...

I decided to play a vampire sim from the point of infancy. I made a house in Forgotten Hollow with two trailer park vampire parents, who kept plasma bag human Marco locked in a room with a fridge (I've modded my sim vampires to autonomously drink from non-friends when they need to). Everything was going reasonably well until it wasn't. My toddler vampire was doing laps around the loop in Forgotten Hollow, trying to skill up movement before he aged up. His mother vampire wouldn't stop following him around, and eventually burned to death. But that just started a chain reaction. Because Death showed up and my toddler aged up right after. In the meantime, Marco had somehow escaped his room and decided to make lunch. The kitchen caught on fire, and he got caught in it. I had my father vampire call the fire department because the fire was quite large by this time. My now child sim managed to catch himself on fire running inside to check it out, but was able to extinguish himself. The fire department showed up, but it was too late, and Marco now died. The firemen decided it was way more important to mourn Marco's death than to put the fire out, and stood around sobbing while the vampire father also got caught in the fire. He died next, after running out into the street (not even sure if it was the fire or sun that got him, but he burned either way). Luckily my sim child vampire kept his wits (only because I had control of him) and called another fire department, and they put out the fire after waiting for it to burn past the front door. My child was able to plead the Reaper into sparing his father (he was probably tired of filling out death certificates anyway) which is the only reason the game didn't end then and there. Talk about a bunch of drama llamas.
