It's the time not moving except for the household being played that makes rotational play possible. For me, anyway. The way TS4 now is all sims are off doing their own thing, which often totally messes up planned storylines and inter-household interactions. At the least, sims are never where I want/need them to be, at worst they have gotten pregnant and had babies all on their own. Rather a bummer when one has been working on sim A marrying sim B, but B has meanwhile produced a rug-rat by sim C that I had no idea she knew. Messy, very messy.
