Mine get full vet treatment if they are sick, they don't seem to need anything else for that. The vet treat gives them overall improved health, it seems. And that, added to all the other interaction and treats I provide them with keeps them in the green for a significant portion of the time.
In fact it's usually only when they get an actual illness (requiring vet treatment) that they ever go into the red now.
