Kids who don't look like their family?

Curious to see if any of you have ever had kids who don't look like their family. My sim came from a long line of black haired sims, her mom has black hair, her grandma had black hair, three of her sisters have black hair, not including her, her nieces both have black hair, and she has black hair. She had a kid with Vladislaus. Vlad's hair is white in both his human and his dark form, though he's bald in his dark form. And my sim has black hair in both forms, yet they had a red headed child...not sure why because they had a son later on and he had black hair like his mom. Addie's sister is another example of a time when a sim kid looks nothing like their parents. She has normal parents, but for some reason, her cheekbones are insanely oversized. They are so stuck out, it looks like she has tumors on her face or something...It's like Maleficent but four times worse. And her eyes are very small, which is weird because her parents don't have characteristically small eyes...She also has brown eyes when every one else in the family has green or blue eyes. It is very confusing when kids look nothing like their parents or have very prominent features that nobody in the family has.
