- I don't find the new scared emotion too bad, but I find that most of the time when my sim ages into a child, the first night they'll wake up every hour or so because of a nightmare and it's quite annoying because they're all back to back. Anyone else having this problem?

The only thing that really makes a Sim scared is thunderstorms. Oh, there's a few other things, but they burn off within an hour or two. This shows how much effort they really put into 'Fear' in base-game.
And the scared moodlet is often overridden. I have a snob sim in an empty starter and she barely got scared during a thunderstorm because the house was poorly decorated!
I know it probably shouldnt be this way but in this case its funny to think that shes so snobbish that she doesnt even care about the thunderstorm lol. Also its not like everyone irl is scared of thunderstorms anyway- logionX4 years agoSeasoned HotshotI have always used bienchen's stormmoodlettweak mod so my sims doesn't get very scared of thunderstorms, it's mostly kids that get scared.
- I've been enjoying it so far lol. I had my sim couple (he's a vampire, she's human) drop into my night club in San Myshuno. He was dancing when one sim ran in and started screaming at another lol. Who also started screaming and both ran around and out the door. It was awesome. Turns out they're both paranoid.
She later went out with some friends to lunch, where their waiter (who was also paranoid) was running around scared. The only difference was, that their service was faster ? - I like it the way it is
- I hope they add more things for are sims to be scared of in new packs moving forward and I hope they give us a coward trait to go with it
- elliebreton4 years agoSeasoned AceThey really could do with giving us the CAS traits coward and brave. Then cowards could be scared by all the scary things, brave sims not scared of anything and sims without either trait could be somewhere in the middle. It really doesn't do to have ALL sims behave in the same way.
- AineOfMay4 years agoSeasoned SpectatorNo, I love the scared emotion, it feels like my sims are finally complete emotionally. Tense barely made sense in most cases. I HOPE they realize that MOST simmers love the new emotion.

If they are developing TS5 they need to create a "unicorns & rainbows" mode for those who cannot handle a little break in the utopia. :D
I agree and also a hard mode- JamesDeanSQ4 years agoNew NoviceI'm not too crazy about it with my Sim that lives in a haunted house. She's too scared to do anything.
She won't sleep because she has a nightmare.
She'll only shower for a couple seconds then get out because she was too scared.
She won't go to the washroom because she's too scared.
Then when the emotion goes away, she sees a spooky puddle then gets scared.
Then she won't remove the puddle because she's too scared
Then she get's terrified and won't eat because she has to stand up to scream at the doll after every bite.
Etc. etc. etc.
It's not challenging gameplay, it's just obnoxious because I can't even play the game. I try to have her watch the comedy channel or do something else to give another emotional boost but it doesn't work because she won't do the thing I tell her to do.
