Kleptomaniac Sims

Hey just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with their sims constantly losing their household items, when other sims visit even ghosts? Every since that patch before Paranormal stuff pack, that is all I get. It is getting to the point that I hate to even play with the haunted houses because I know I can't control the ghosts taking stuff and me having to replace the items. Definitely takes the fun out of the game. I have bought all of the expansions, game and stuff packs. As a Canadian these packs have cost me quite a bit. I feel like the patches take the stability of my game down more and more. I have no mods in my game so I know it isn't that causing the problem.
