Knitting career?

You can register as a Freelancer and then type in whatever career name you want.

@crocobaura Really? Or, do you mean Self-employed? Freelancer in Sims 4 refers to working with a freelance agency. You have a choice of up to six agencies, none of which use knitting skills. As for Self-employed, you register with the ministry of labor on your phone and call yourself a Knitter. I've done that without problems the last time I was playing a knitter, but I have noticed the system glitch in the past. @DeadFishy , if you've tried to register as a self-employed knitter and it didn't work, just try again. I think something specific triggers the glitch because I've never known it to be a problem across the board.

The registration won't add directly to the "knitting career", but by register your sim will no longer be seen as unemployed, and will no longer be used for random jobs like bar tending etc. The custom career description can be a great way to keep track on your sim's vision or career goals etc.

I didn't know you could do this :D This will work perfectly for my current game.

I really like to use the self-employed option for either Stay at Home Parents or for business owners who don't have another job, or for some of my occults who don't necessarily want a traditional job. That way I don't have to see Vlad taking complaints at the police station, or Mortimer Goth working as a spa attendant when he should be tending his bookstore, or my introverted stay at home dad who has a couple of toddlers and loves to knit working as a bouncer at the Del Sol Valley lounge.

It should be possible to sell the objects through a shop business or the sale table. For the clothes, I think you need to add them to wardrobe first and then you can place them on a manniquin to sell in a shop.

Yes, you can sell canned stuff, I think from your inventory directly, or from the sales table. Not sure if they can be sold on plopsy. I think their value will increase based on quality of both crops and your stove/cooking/handiness.

Canned goods are either small meals or ingredients in regular receipts. For example, you can can mushrooms and use them as meat substitute. Some produce is smart to can in order to prevent them from going spoiled, and they make for great decor on a kitchen/pantry shelf. They are good to bring if hiking. Aaand - if you live in Henford-on-Bagley, they are good as neighbor gifts (thee is a special local tradition there).

Some of my sims run small canning businesses. One specialized on tomato sauce, another on Mayonaisse.
