Not a knitting club, but It doesnt matter where i hold club gatherings, members all ignore the activities and only my sim does them. I thought it might be a bug but i read a very old comment while i was looking for ways to solve it, it said the clubs dont guarantee the sims will do the activities, they are just more likely to. Dont know if that is true or not but sounds like a design flaw because they dont even do them often. I might try holding the next gathering in a totally empty lot but i feel they will just start talking lol.
