Knitting skill question

So my main sims have already leveled this. I did have a slow time completing the aspiration but eventually got it done.

Mine build skills fast because they have the Savant Aspiration. You can purchase that one with points for 4000 I think. They tend to do better when inspired so I assume having the Creative trait might help? My lot traits have no impact on my knitting because they are "Good Schools," "Celebrity Home" and "Ocean View" or whatever its called.
