Is it on purpose that caleb, lilith , vlad or ugly generated townies knock on the house door at knight or is it just me. I thought they would break in and drink blood from my sim but they just stand...

As soon as the line is crossed one is vulnerable to attacks and neighborhoods overrun with vampire vermin (vamp townies - major source of break-ins). Been there, done that, have abandoned at least two game saves because of it.
That's kind of hard to do in my game since I'm generally playing my families now with vampire in them. So I don't have that luxury of avoiding anything to do with vampires at all.
