Kudos to whoever set up the gardens near Von Haunt

Walked one of my sims through the maze and other garden areas attached to the Von Haunt Estate. This was my first time exploring these gardens, and I just wanted to say WOW! Whoever designed this did a great job. The layout, the attention to detail, the beauty of it. I hope the creator at EA sees this because they deserve a big pat on the back. Thank you for this beautiful area!

(FYI, the sim's name is Elizabeth.)

  • It's definitely beautiful, I admire all the time and patience put into that garden maze. :)
  • Absolutely agree. I still like to go from time to time using it as a museum/outing for some of my sims. It's also a wonderful place to take pictures.. or get married. Mimsy and Bernard are wonderful additions... love they they hinted at the backstory for them.
  • I think this is great too. I made a new generation of Von Haunts though they live in a gallery downloaded palace on one of the big empty lots in Newcrest. I like the back story of Mimsy and Bernhard too. If I were playing a less modern save, I'd bring them back and play them. I figure that someone has. I have distant relations of them and several of the old families that died out in my game.

I have Zerbu's Lot Traits mod which allowed me to change the Von Haunt Estate to a residential lot, so Elizabeth (the sim in the pictures) actually lives at the estate.

I only visited there once, cause I didn't like the whole ghost thing. But I guess I could have my teens running between it and pulling some bad pranks.. not sure what TS4 offers me for doing this though.

Nice pics, they are well taken btw :)

Thank you for the compliment on the pictures! :) Also, the mod mentioned above let me go in and delete stuff on the Von Haunt Estate, so I don't have any ghosts there in my game. (I assume I must have deleted their urns or graves to get rid of them, although I don't remember now.)

That's awesome. I've decided to leave it as a museum but I could definitely see the appeal of living in it.
