Lady/Lord Of The Knit?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think the mood boost for the skill is energized and/or focused. So any traits that come up with random moodlets in the booster mood should be good.

active might be helpful because knitting is boosted by the energized mood

I just checked in game, but it's inspired, which makes sense. So creative is a good trait.
I thought it was energized because that's the moodlet the METAL radio station gives off.

I have my sim play with that annoying lump of clay before doing a creative task like knitting or painting, and it never fails to get them into an inspired mood. I do think that objects that create certain moods might be more helpful than traits

Maker trait does help with Knitting. Or, more specifically, you get a positive moodlet when you complete a project, and knitting also counts to stave off the "idle hands" moodlet.

I don't remember all the details, as while most of my current sims knit, none of them have the maker trait.
