Laptop as desk or counter pc in sims4

I thought you could place them on island counters. Pretty sure I used them primarily for laptops and computers because they were more diverse and could be placed in corners. Or did you mean something else?

Yeah u can place computers on counters and tables as well.

I would love to have a non CC laptop.

I think OP is saying they would like a laptop style computer in the game even if it's still confined to desks or counters like regular desktop computers.

Would have loved multimedie laptops i mean where you couldn't play games on but had all practical functionality, i am so fed up with my sims constantly sitting playing video games and barely do anything else. But if you remove all computers you can't do necessary stuff either that tablet is limited too, like job task or ordering parts for upgrades with seriously like laptop(non gaming) as alternatives to that personally myself.

Yes, you need some laptops, not everyone has moved on to a tablet/iPad. I will never have one again, I will not conform. :D
But what I dislike with a purple passion is the fact every thing goes thru the computer..give me a break, not everyone has a pc, my neighbors don't, so please stop pushing them onto our Sims and give us a newspaper, too. Jobs are in the paper you know, we didn't fall off the face of the earth just because there is internet. We will not conform.

lol Cinebar I'm with you. I got done building a magic academy and no electronics were allowed. Well I was forced to put a computer in the head mistress's quarters and lock everyone out but her, because I had to order things that I couldn't get anywhere else. I tried to use a computer that looked less modern but all of it just looked terrible in there.

And none of my Sims use tablets. Sometimes when I come back to them after I checked on other families, some how one of my Sims would have one in their inventory that they must have snatched from someone else because I couldn't actively take it out of the inventory, I had to have my Sim place it in world so I could delete it.

:) I have a tablet. But I admit I hardly touch it. I'm actually getting a bit tired of technology. Used to love it and eat it all up. These days, all I do is play a few games on my PC and write and pay bills on my laptop. That's about it.

I'd like it if they got off the automatic cell phone for all sims too. I actually know a few people (young and old) that don't have one.

I don't understand why TS4 doesn't have laptops to carry around like in TS3. It's like they push the new iPad on players but honestly in rl and in the game you can't do as much on a tablet as you can with a pc or laptop. I don't even put those tablets in my Sim houses in this game, they are pretty useless. A laptop can work just like a desktop and they could order stuff etc. so I don't get the idea behind a lame iPad.

In all actuality, an iPad (or tablet, in general) in real life can do much more than those “Slablets” in game… to be honest. But yeah, I don’t see why portable computers arn’t in the game already. Is there some sort of technical issue preventing it to work? Seems just strange.
