Latest Patch Rant

There are two things that folks think were bugs that weren't an issue:

  • You pay your new bills, all the new bills, keep track of all the bills. We think you can do it. So, hope you like this update too as we have adjusted Lot Taxes to be more appropriate per Lot.
  • Had a good talk with Sims that had neglected their duties with their Toddlers. They can go back to Potty Training and Read to Sleep to their little angels.

Lot Taxes were not an issue for me. I was really annoyed with the fact that the game taxed you for every thing you purchased in perpetuity. Yes a larger lot should pay more than a smaller house, but I shouldn't pay 8,000 per week because I have more stuff in an smaller house. Sheesh - I could've lived with this "bug" - what I can't live with are the gardening bugs and the rummage trash bugs WHICH were not fixed!

Also the potty training thing, wasn't a "bug" either. They got parenting skills, the kid got potty trained and the sim could move on to something else. No need to sit there listening to potty noises for hours.

Other things not fixed - bugs with clubs and planning events with club members in attendance that causes the game to crash to the desktop.

So basically, I still cannot play any of my saves because they didn't fix any of those bugs

    grumble grumble

To be honest as much as I'm glad they're adding the skin tones people want I wish they'd focus on fixing the bugs instead.

I'm so tired of them just piling more and more into the game and ignoring most the bugs and issues. There's even some widely reported bugs as far back as city living that are still being ignored (the entire game crashes if you bulldoze certain apartments). They never bothered to fix it. I really wish they'd just stop adding more and look at what's broken and fix EVERYTHING before they put anything else in.

This so much... My sims have been eating spoiled food since the Island living patch and it STILL hasn't been fixed. I've been using a mod by LittleMsSam to fix it for more than a year now. It is ridiculous how long somethings are going unfixed in this game. The developers aren't even trying. If a mod creator can fix something in a matter of days then there is no reason why the creators of this game can't do the same. They are simply choosing to ignore the issues at this point which is why I'm choosing to no longer support them or this game anymore.

"Eating spoiled food" is a bug? Since when? They've always done that unless you stop them, since 2014...

I'd like to know since when also. I just noticed it after the Sept patch - well my Sim cat's food is always spoiled and he eats it then barfs.

      So like a cat.
I mean they pretend to be "better" than dogs but they eat mouse brains.

@troshalom How long has there been a problem with club members?

@AyKooChao I was having issues with clubs in August / September. There is a bug report

@Beardedgeek I thought eating brains were good for ya - teehee IRL my cat always eats the brains of her catches before I can get them from her. It is so so soooo gross

I had it since Island Living I guess, it is bug they never done that autonomously, with it they ignore the good food and choose the bad one instead.
    • I'm angry that after this last update all my dlc has been deactivated. I did the clear cache on the app then all my dlc was uninstalled so i had to reinstall each one individually but they are still deactivated. According to the 'help' crap I need to go to the market place to reactivate. Unacceptable. I refuse. I am not using the market place when i already purchased the dlc before it ever existed. So I won't be playing the Sims. I don't need to play EA games period. EA hates their players. I'm going to like them to a saying from San Diego area. Welcome to La Jolla, please deposit your funds and go away. I'm not depositing funds anymore and I will go away but i thought I'd let everyone know why.
