Laundromats

Yes you can. While there is no actual laundromat lot you can in fact put the dirty clothes in your inventory and go to a community lot where you have set up washingmashine and dryers. In fact there are even color variations of the mashines with a little coin slot :)

Technically we can because sims can take their laundry to public lots but it doesn't cost your sim money to do their laundry.

@kaiwrysims I think maybe you could simulate (heh) the idea of paying for laundry by putting one of these on the lot:

It's a link to functioning "entry fee" signs. I think you have to remember to go up to them to pay and there isn't a ticket for a "laundromat", and it's also labelled as a ticket which may not fit a laundromat but it will still deduct funds from your sims money when you go to pay. Or you could just minus a few simeleons off your sims money by using the money cheat (ctrl shift c, testing cheats enabled true, and then "money xxx" where xxx is a few simeleons less than the funds your sim already has i.e you have 500 simeleons you want the laundromat fee to be 5 so you type money 495.) I don't think townies will pay though but in the stream they said townies wouldn't bring laundry to a lot with washing machines on it.

When does the new pack come out bc its Jan 16 in Australia and i have been waiting since 12am?
So much for a worldwide release. Way to go The Sims really PISSED ME OFF! Now not even sure if i want to buy the new pack.

I actually have the entrance fee lot trait from the more venues mod! I wasn't thinking about using that, thanks.

Release dates and times are based on California, USA time, not the time where you live.

I've created four Laundromats that are part laundry and part something else in order to get sims to show up on the lot. Your sim will be the only sim doing laundry, NPCs will not bring their laundry to the Laundromat.

One is a Laundromat/café/bowling alley, one is a Laundromat/Asian restaurant and there are two café/Laundromats.

I will upload them tomorrow (16th). You'll be able to find them at #dannydanbo, #laundromat.

How can you move dirty laundry into your inventory? I downloaded someone's laundromat in my game, and my sim has a hamper, for dirty laundry but all options are grayed out because he does not have a washer and dryer yet and I see no option to add to inventory, unless I'm missing something.
