I'm sure he doesn't have much to do with the clothing line but he can definitely afford it. It just seems icky to release a Stuff Pack centered around a clothing line that presumably the majority of Sims players can't afford and using someone that's probably rolling in money promote it. Especially coming after their Sims 4 play with life video that included everyday people.
I know they've used Katy Perry before but at least she fit the brand for The Sims 3 Showtime.
