I agree, OP, the pregnancies are so much better in Sims 4 than they were before. The animations are cute and I think they behave a bit more realistically, too.
I would definitely love them to be able to go to the hospital for ultrasounds, that would be lovely <3
As for the weight after giving birth, they definitely don't always snap back into the pre-baby figures. I've got some before-and-after shots of one of the founders of my BACC.
