I think there's two ways they could do alignments:
1) A very non-intensive, inoffensive way where there's a Good, "Neutral" and Evil aspiration all pertaining to witches, with reward traits associated with them. (Example: Good reward trait means you gain a hefty boost to relationship when casting friendly or neutral spells on sims, Neutral doubles magic reserves, Evil means associated spells are more potent/successful, starting bigger fires or doing bigger debuffs to peoples moods and the like)
2) Seperate groups of powers akin to Sims 4, meaning a Good Witch cannot learn any of the Evil Witch spells and vice versa.
I've honestly got no idea which one of those two I prefer, both sound nice.
