- What a great article. Much love for my simming community. <3
- I wonder if the new terrain tools mean any future worlds that come with packs won't have to be flat all the time, perhaps they can include hills and other uneven terrain when they design them. Just a thought.

No offense intended, but that was so lame.
A fashion influencer career? Maxis you can do better. That was just so so lame......I'm so sad...TS4 just really isn't coming through.
It's not a modelling career, it's not a stylist career, it's another stupid instagram career. I like the new digital art sketch pad, but you can't even do fashion sketches, so....what the actual..... There's no fabric sampling, no sewing machine, no catwalk, just writing more articles on the computer....how fun. And the animations look like they are straight out of the Sims Mobile, so disappointing. I thought it was going to be a better update.
ALso, the digital art sketch pad does everything an easel does....it's a cool object but really, why are we getting another object that does everything we already can do in the game? TS4 can't afford that luxury with it's lack of content. So disappointed.
THIS^^
But... those terrain tools.
As @MidnightAura said, it should have been in the base game. I can't get excited over stuff that should have been added years ago. As @Sigzy05 said, there is no depth to the career being added and therefore is pretty lame. Honestly, I was expecting to hear about a new pack. - mariefoxprice837 years agoSeasoned Ace

I know it's free content, but, hopefully at some point they offer sewing machines. It's going to be really dumb if we have a fashion career without sewing machines. Hopefully it's not just clicking on screens. I would pay to be able to make clothing.
Same here. I'm not into such things IRL but I loved using the one in Sims 2 for the customisable pattern outfits. One of my favourite things to do was run a clothing store selling items made by my sims. Sure, we can have a clothes shop in Sims 4 but it's not the same. "TheStarHermit;c-16758669" wrote:

Several of the most recent world have had hills already so...- akl12267 years agoSeasoned AceI am excited about this! I am not sure how often I will use the new career, but I am not complaining that we are getting one for free. It looks like it could be fun for sure and I love the careers where you can choose to work from home. I am not a huge builder, but I think it is great that terrain tools are being added and that it also looks like we can change foundation height per room from now on. That is something I have wanted for ages. Sure maybe the terrain tool should have been in the base game, but the fact is this going to be a free patch and it looks like a great one overall. I love that some simmers can still find things to complain about even when its free. Guess you cannot make everyone happy.
I am sure we will hear about new content soon. It has been hinted at for a while and we usually get something towards the end of the year. I highly doubt it will be an expansion, but maybe we will be getting a new game pack soon. We shall have to wait and see..... "luimistelija;c-16758395" wrote:

Did anyone else see at the end he made one building with foundation and another one without? Am I hallucinating? Please someone tell me I am not wrong! I have NEEDED this feature since day 1!!
Sadly it was just the basement that looked like a foundation. Could probably do some tricks with that though.
I am 90% sure it was foundation. It looked alot like the default foundation and it didn't have that wall covering that walls do before you paint them.
You're right! I thought he was using the basement tool to create it, but after rewatching he is definitely making a regular room on top of that hill and then the foundation just shows up. That would be heavenly if we could choose which building have foundation.
I'm hoping the next world will be a bit more bumpier, so that there will be natural hills that continue in and out of the lot borders.
YAAAS! I can't wait to use this feature, it doesn't even matter if we get cars or not (however, I think we will) because now I can even make my fake garages look realistic. This is the best part for me, I like terrain editing too but it never looked good when I have used it in the past but I have seen other Simmers make really nice lots with it.- MVWdeZT7 years agoSeasoned AceOne of the things they mentioned with the Fashion Influencer career is that you might see townie Sims running around in outfits that your Sim designed. It sounds like it might help people who want to do an Old West setting or Space Age, etc. Maybe if you put enough townies in long skirts or alien garb, eventually you'll get everyone to dress that way. (Or maybe not. But it's nice to think it might be in the realm of possibility.)

I'm kind of hoping for this too. I still don't know enough about it but it got me thinking in that direction. - JoRN14147 years agoSeasoned AceThis is going to be fun! I can't wait to see what people do with the terrain tools. I mean, just think about it
