Makes me wish there was a celebrity system, if a sim reaches the max of the fashion career, they’d become famous.
...celebrity system...
*traumatic flashbacks to sims getting slandered multiple times and suffering a relationship drop with EVERYONE each single time*
*shudder*
Yeah, that was fun, to each their own. "Simburian;c-16760571" wrote:
What did SimGuruKate mean by "dive in" referring to the Oct. 11th Stream? Was that a hint of some sort?
It is just a figure of speech- Simburian7 years agoSeasoned Ace

Did you notice that you would have the option of just bulldozing the house or the house and terrain with it? I've just checked back and noticed it when SimGuruRomeo bulldozed the house.
If that is what is meant by the options on the bulldozing button on the stream just after it reaches 45.00 as he is about to delete the house. - paradiseplanet277 years agoSeasoned Ace

Military is a bit controversial in some quarters, especially countries that have had military take over the government. And we got the Astronaut job that was the top level of Military in Sims 3. I could see education and law being added in a University pack if it's on the drawing board (I think we didn't get Education until University Life in Sims 3) or an active day care for toddlers as part of a pack improving education at all levels. I'd actually like to see some sort of "self employment" feature for Sims that don't have a traditional job but make their living from freelance work (writing, painting, programming etc.) or those make items for sale or go out and find collectibles to sell. The sales tables and Art Wall from CL are still borked -- I'd like to have an adventurer who goes to Selvadorada, finds artifacts, then comes home and sells them at the Flea Market.
But the Sims series are simply games. Surely if you didn't want Military in your games, you would not play them..? We can't take everything put in a game for what it is. Plus, I thought Sims was trying to stray more to realism, and not including military is very unrealistic. This is just like saying we shouldn't have Burglars in TS4 because of people who had personal experiences with getting robbed would take it offensively.
??? Where is the logic here?
I know sims series has historically had a military career, but do sims actually need one. Has there ever been an armed conflict in the sims world? Perhaps sims got rid of of the whole military because they didn't need one. Having an astronaut career makes sense because they can actually go to space.
Because some players want to have more story-immersion? If someone wants to envision a military in their Sims game, than they should have the options presented for them in-game, without mods. Last time I checked, the Sims series was supposed to allow us a multitude of options and choices to play how we want. Nowadays it seems like we're only playing how EAxis wants us to play it. - simsimsere7 years agoSeasoned Ace

I do kind of miss military career myself because of story telling. There are a lot of things sim doesn't allow that I would like to have. Like I posted, I think there are valid reasons why they could have dropped military (of course just guessing here and it could still make a come back). - icemanfresh7 years agoLegend+1 to a military career, btw. Having more options is always good
- LatinaBunny7 years agoSeasoned AceOhhh, Terrain tools, yesss! I can’t wait to see how they work and look in the patch. I want to see in detail what can be done with them. I hope they aren’t too limited, though!
I’m still wanting some water tools, but maybe in the meantime, builders can use terrain tools and pool tools to sort of make tiny-ish island/beach lots? (I’m waiting for future island and beach content! And mermaids, of course! )
On the stylist career? Ehhhh? I’ll have to see more about it to see if it has any depth beyond reusing same animations. I do love the new object, though! I also do like changing the townspeople clothes without cheats. It’s a good fit for a fashionista sim.
I just want to see if there’s more to it. I wonder how the other branch works? (It has another branch, right? Or was I mistaken?)
Usually with careers, I want more new animations, new objects, new clothing, etc.
Wait, would we be getting a sewing machine one day, then???? :hushed: If not in a patch, then maybe in a future hobbies pack? *hopes for a hobbies Freetime-like pack*
For the modeling... I hope there is a future Superstar kind of pack with a fashion career that has a catwalk and/or magazine photo fashion takes. I loved the content from Sims Superstar for Sims 1, and I hope that kind of stuff makes a return in the Sims series one day! - I like the new updates we're going to be getting. But I was hoping to gets cars. Like we'd be able to choose from a car, a truck, or mini van. I'm still excited for the new updates though!

Oh boy. Looks like I'll be redoing many of my lots. This will be time consuming, haha. - BlueSeaWaves7 years agoLegend
