- Can't wait to see what @ehaught58 thinks. :p
- Loanet7 years agoSeasoned AceI just watched the stream and may I say...
I AM SO MUCH MORE HYPED FOR THIS THAN FOR GET FAMOUS
ALSO I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT WITH F5 - vcosley7 years agoRising AdventurerWatched some of it, fell asleep. I don't like the fact you can't paint the terrain after raising it. Multi levels aren't quite multi level homes, you can't connect them. Whats the point? hope someone creates a mod for this.

I'm pretty sure that people will be finding ways to work around. Like a few steps here and there tastefully displayed (or hidden) will solve all your routing problems.
Also, I will no longer need to buy expensive and samey rocks to fake terrain slopes. - Thanks! Can't wait for the next update!

They did mention that they're still going to look into those. Given what they do have now, I'd say they did a pretty good job. If painting slopes, pond tools, and connecting uneven foundations take a while longer, that's fine by me. - Winifred_Willow7 years agoSeasoned VeteranI'm looking forward to the next update too. I'm not builder by any stretch of the imagination but this looks really fun to work with. All the new building possibilities with these new tools
- Looks good, but I'll really only give one when they add true split-level. Shout out for mentioning it in the stream
- Pegasyms7 years agoSeasoned AceLooks great, a lot of thought and work went into the new terrain tools.
- ehaught587 years agoSeasoned AceI am really looking forward to the new (well, new for TS4 anyway) terrain tools and can't wait to start experimenting with them. I like the new features that came with them, but will miss some of the old features that did not make it into the tools at this point. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that they add more features to them to really flesh them out. They did say that there were some more features they are looking into, so let's hope that we all get what we want before they are finished with them. I do not have an account and could not ask questions or give feedback, but several people were asking the question that burned in my mind... can we make modular stairs in a house? From what I saw the answer looks like no. But, I am hoping that I, or some other builder, can figure out a work around. I am so tired of long straight stairs that take up too much room. Hopefully, I can figure something out.
I am extremely happy that builders are finally being catered to. I am hoping that when the new upgrading to the engine and programming happens, we will start to see the Sims game that builders have wanted all along! This is a huge step in that direction. Thank you EA/Maxis.
Also, thanks to @simgirl1010 for the shoutout for this thread. :)
