LGR doesn't want to review Journey to Batuu / doesn't want to cover The Sims 4 anymore

I quit playing when Eco Living turned my game so chaotic and wild I just couldn't stand playing anymore. What I wish they would do is hit the brakes and just go over the main game and existing expansions and polish it all up to a high end level. I'm so sad about it for multiple reasons; I love life-sim games, and also I spent SO much money on this series specifically and ending up not even enjoying it at all.

It's finally happened. The Sims 4 Star Wars Pack is so bad it was the last straw for LGR.

In some aspects I can understand his feelings as this is another pack in which some features are just restricted to that pack and no use to other neighborhoods. This appears to be the norm now and going forward.

Honestly good for him. It's clear he finds no joy in this series anymore so why would he need to keep buying and reviewing it when he has indeed spoken his mind about it many, many times. I think if you're just doing it cause it's sorta expected but not enjoyable to you as a person, you should indeed just stop doing it. I always look forward to his reviews but I think we could all feel and hear that his heart hasn't been in it for a long time.

Who is lgr?

I mean I totally understand it. He loves the game and has loved it for the longest time. He stuck around for all the gimmicks and cash grabbing that EA did but I guess it's becoming too hard for him to watch a genius franchise fall so low. He probably wants to separate himself from it.

He could make crazy views from this review but seems like he doesn't care.
Honestly I am with him. I am thinking of leaving this game behind too. I cannot play with the hope that it will eventually get better, or become as fun as the previous games were 'cause it just won't. I believed it could for the longest time but after 6 years I don't anymore. Just like LGR.

I sadly think it was the last straw for a lot of us. Seeing these tweets from LGR earlier really validated how I’ve been feeling, as well as a well known modders recent tweets. Honestly I didn’t think it would get to this point but here we are I guess. I am happy for people who are enjoying the direction the games are going and I sincerely hope they enjoy it, but as a previous poster here said I feel like I can no longer wait and hope it gets better. It’s time to take off my clown makeup and accept it for what it is.

I'm going to miss his reviews. At least I still have his cooking and thrift videos to look forward to. :)

I can understand him not wanting to review this pack. On one hand I was curious about his thoughts on it because I pegged him for a Star Wars nerd. On the other hand, I rather he take a stand and not buy it to help the cause so we don’t ever see shit like this again.
