- I always play with aging with turned off. Never actually play with any of the lifespans.
If I want my Sims to age, I age them up myself, and usually try to disable death - Sharooonia5 years agoNew SpectatorI keep my lifespan setting on long so I can keep my sims around for a long time but still have them age and eventually pass away. I know it's sad when they die but at the same time I never really understood the point of a life simulation with no aging or death.
- NateWhiplash5 years agoSeasoned HotshotI have 3 saves. 2 of them have aging turned off, and 1 of them has normal aging turned on--that is my "serious" game, and it only revolves around 1 couple. When the household eventually dies, I always use the same house for the next couple--I like the continuity of it, the message of "life goes on"
- Aging off.
- GroovyLady19685 years agoNew SpectatorI play with aging off. I manually age Sims when and if I want.
- Hermitgirl5 years agoNew SpectatorAging off... so extra long?
- taydevsim5 years agoNew SpectatorI actually turn again off so. I’ll age them when I’m ready lol.
- simkitten875 years agoNew Spectatormost of the time i play on long. but sometimes when i get bored of things taking to long ill go on normal. or ill start out normal but feel like theres not enough time to do everything. so most of the time i tend to play on long.
- HopeyStarr5 years agoRising TravelerAging off with the hope of turning it on one day. I used to say, "When the right expansion pack comes around I'll let everyone age." But with additions to the game I rather find myself thinking, "Oh, so-and-so would be perfect for this!" or "This pack was made for _____!" It also doesn't help that I have my simself floating around in my main save.
Yeah so I guess I may end up keeping aging off until the sims 4's cycle is complete. - Colton1414145 years agoSeasoned NoviceI tend to have it on Long, as it suits my playstyle better than normal or short.
I would love the ability to adjust life stages individually like in the Sims 3 honestly - especially since I am not too fond of the baby and toddler stages (shorten), while I like the young adult and adult stages (longer), with Elder and Teen around medium-ish long.
