- Winifred_Willow5 years agoNew SpectatorI use MCC with the aging set to something similar to "Epic" in Sims 3. It's long enough for me to play rotationally and take my time.
- netney525 years agoNew SpectatorNone I play with it turned off as I hate how short the long lifespan is in 4 and will age my sims up when I want to
- Kimmer_one5 years agoSeasoned TravelerUsually I start with aging off because I want to play a relaxed game and I don't want to hurry with anything. Sometimes I won't turn aging on until my Sim has reached the top of her/his career and found a spouse. Sometimes I turn aging on normal, sometimes on long. I don't think I've ever used a short lifespan.
- Chicklet453685 years agoRising TravelerSince you didn't have the option to choose "Aging Off", I picked Long
But really what I mean is, Aging is Off and I decide if/when I ever age anybody up. - I have auto aging off, which isn't on the poll. I age them up when I complete goals or tire of the life state.
- Babykittyjade5 years agoRising ObserverNo aging. Been with sims since 2014 and my kids are eternally kids ?
- Depends on what kind of save it is. If it's a story save (a save where I play out a story like my current story) then I turn aging off (and turn off story progression while also pausing pregnancies using MCCC as well), since I don't want unwelcome aging or babies (that aren't the active household) in my save, especially for the main characters! I might turn it on for the townies but it depends if they're important characters in the story as well.
If it's a regular rotational save (like my first ever save where I got b/g twins on the first pregnancy) then I set it to long with everyone aging. Whenever I switch to another household I cheat up the skills to however long I think they must have been working on it since the timespan I wasn't playing them, haha, so those days won't technically be lost. I turn on aging while pregnant and turn off story progression for active and played sims. I also make them twelve days long (as three days is too short for long lifespans, honestly)
If it's a challenge save (saves where I play challenges out like my 100 baby challenge) then I set it to whatever the challenge rules say (or my rules >:) ). I turn off aging while pregnant and story progression if the rules say so as well. - GalacticGal5 years agoSeasoned AceI suppose the way I play, it could be considered a mixture. I have this tendency to age up my Sims when I am ready for them to age, which is sometimes earlier than they would age up. For instance, I wanted to send the four teens in my family off to Uni, but I chose to age them up a day or two apart to keep their birth order in place.
- I play with aging off. I usually age the sims myself when I feel like they are ready. I never age my favourite sims to elder though, I'm too attached to them.
- Divinity_wingz5 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI use a custom life span. Normal is too short and long is way too long.
