Lifespans seem off
Anyone else notice that with "Normal lifespan" set - if you do university and wait to have your kids until after you graduate (which takes most of the young adult lifespan) that they die of old age before the kids become adults. Pregnant 3 day, Baby 3 day, Toddler 7 days, child 13 day and teen 14 days is 40 days between conception and adulthood. They only spend 48 days as an adult (24/24) and 10 days (average) as an elder. So if you have child day 1 when you age up to adult they are still 6 days from a teenager when their parents die.
It's almost impossible to get the family aspirations what require interaction with grandchildren or a child reaching the top of a career because my sims are long dead before their babies graduate high school. It's almost like you age out of young adult into a 45 year old. Even if you have your first kid right when you age up to young adult you only have 18 days left to live (on average) when the child ages up to young adult.
I use MCC Commander for story progression and there are all sorts of "Adopted Children" notices because if you have been an adult for more than 8 days when you decided to have a baby (of the mod decides) then you will be dead before your child turns into a teen. I have personally used the mode to increase the lifespan of the adult phase only (I like the others lengths) but it's still a big pet peevee of mine.
Especially given the fact that it pretty much takes the entire young adult lifespan to get through 4 years of university and the game gives an adult sim the same period of time to be alive. Before university it wasn't that big of a deal but with it I am stuck choosing family or school.
