So please stop blaming the customers and please stop gaslighting people so you can defend corporations that make millions of dollars. Companies do need to be held accountable for their actions. And if customers want to complain they are entitled to.
I am sick and tired of the rhetoric of "you bought it, so don't complain!" Customers have every right to complain. And they have every right to make suggestions. If developers refuse to listen, then their game will fail. And fail is something I see the Sims 4 do day after day!
Complaining is one thing, demanding a complete overhaul to the six years old game is another thing. Beeing in the market longer than any other iteration is not what I call failing.
You just don't play something for six years if it's unplayable. It's impossible.
Customers have every right to complain, yes. I do complain, actually, game is not perfect. But if you play the game and play it for a long time... well, it means you like it. Maybe it's not everything you want it to be, but it is good enough to entertain you. I guess statements "I've enjoyed the game, it's a good enough to log a thousand hours into it, but I have some complains and suggestion, would be nice to see some improvements for free" is not dramatic enough.
Personally the only reason I buy sims 4 packs is because I do play sims 4 a lot and I do have fun. Not every pack was ok with me, but most of them were and I do use every pack even the camping one. So for me buying a new pack is a totally valid investment.
Some people say they don't play game a lot, that they buy a new pack, play it for couple days and abandon it. If this continues for six years, it's not on EA at this point. Six years is plenty of time to figure out the Sims 4 is not a game for you. Buying a pack for the game you don't play is a huge waste of money. I guess admitting "I have a problem of wasting lots money on something I don't use, I have a spending problem" is a tough pill to swallow.
But to claim that everyone in sims 4 community are that miserable is insulting to the community actually.
I'm not defending EA. I'm defending common sense at this point. Don't buy a pack if you don't play the game and have fun with it. It will not save sims 4 for you and it will be a waste of your money.
If you haven't enjoyed the game, have some basic self respect and stop wasting your time and money.
If you played the game for thousands of hours, have some basic self respect to admit it was worth playing it.
All I hear in your statements is "Customers shouldn't buy packs and waste their money." And yes, I agree some customers should use their money more discriminately.
However, that does not vindicate the company from fault. The company is still responsible as a Live Service to live up to their promises. And the customer has the right to request things and complain.
If I buy a computer, and one of the hard drives dies after 3 days, wouldn't I want the company to fix it? Same goes if I buy a broken game (the Sims 4), I would want them to fix it.
