Lightsabers Outside of Batuu

Lightsabers and droids go with you, but I think droids basically become radios in terms of functionality. When I last played Batuu, it was with a single sim, so I don't know if lightsabers do anything when you get home.

Yes. Both lightsabers and droids stay in the sim’s inventory when traveling home.

Lightsabers can be used the same in any world, although you can’t initiate a lightsaber challenge the way it’s possible via the lightsaber workshop on Batuu: It doesn’t spawn another sim to duel against. However, any sim that has a lightsaber in their inventory can be challenged and sparred with outside of Batuu.

At home the droids change into dancing radiostations and (unfortunately!!) loose their functionality i.e. they don’t follow your sim around.

You can gift a lightsaber to a NPC but it just disappears from their inventory so you can’t spar with others outside of Batuu unless they are in your household. I even went so far as to play the house hold and cheat the lightsaber collection and have them insert a crystal into a hilt and make it their preferred lightsaber. Have them use the lightsaber and then move back to NPC household and then send my sims to visit and still can’t spar with them. Even if a sim is from your household and you move them out it still disappears.

The droids also stay in your inventory. Even if you place them in your house when you travel they are magically in your inventory with a message saying items left behind have been moved to your inventory.
