- Scobren5 years agoLegendI adored that pack. Probably was my favorite in the Sims 3. Go to school Sims 4 mod was pretty fun too which had some better updates to it from the Sims 3 uni pack.
- permanentrose5375 years agoSeasoned AceDid not watch the full video since I'm about to head to bed and it probably answers my question, but I figured I'd ask anyway - what does everyone love so much about generations? I never had that pack when I played the sims 3 and was just wondering what exactly it adds to the game!

I actually don't think it was that great... It added a lot of little things that were nice like events for teens and learning to drive, but it was also annoying because it took away a lot of players' autonomy and made parent sims discipline their children and enforced curfews. - Sharooonia5 years agoSeasoned AceI’m currently playing the Sims 3 and I just got the generations pack for Christmas. I am obsessed with it. The amount of cute and fun stuff it added to the game for sims of all ages has blown me away. I would love a generations pack in TS4 and I think adding a generations pack would be the perfect time and opportunity to finally fix babies.
My favourite thing is strollers although I’m not sure how well they would work in a game with loading screens. "haneul;c-17767464" wrote:

Just ot let you know: you don't need to buy every single pack for The Sims, specially if you feel like it limits your play style.- wexxam5 years agoSeasoned Ace

It made every life stage more unique and fun to play.
Toddlers and babies were given prams, had some new interactions, and an imaginary friend doll that only they could see if it decided to come to life.
Children were given after school activities and could go on field trips, we could send them to boarding schools, they had a tonne of new objects and activities such as a costume box, treehouse, hopscotch, and a lot of other unique things to do. They could also have sleepovers now, and pillow fights. Also a chemistry table was added for them (we have that in TS4 now I guess).
Teens could learn to drive, play pranks around the house, egg other sims houses, or do the doorbell ditch, they had curfews and the police would bring them back home if they stayed out late. They had prom, and graduation, and they also had some more unique interactions. There was a chance that the teens parents could receive a message to go on a free vacation and they then could hold teen parties.
Sims who were engaged could hold bachelor/bachelorette parties.
Adult sims could get midlife crises wants which means they were unable to be removed from the wants section until the timer expired.
Elder sims had canes and had some unique interactions just for elders.
There were so many different objects that granted new gameplay as well such as bunkbeds and spiral staircases.
Overall the pack added so much life and depth to every life stage which TS4 desperately needs. - EA_Leeloo5 years ago

Hey there! Just a heads-up: I moved this thread to the Game Feedback section. :) - barisaxy5 years agoNew AceA Generations pack wouldn't be anything near what she's talking about.
Remember, Generations in The Sims 3 was already a small pack by TS3 standards. No way would TS4 do a better one. - Chicklet453685 years agoSeasoned Ace

Unfortunately, that statement is spot on. Similar style packs in TS4 that we had in previous games, have all been watered down. We would probably get 3 of the things that TS3 Generations had in a TS4 game pack. Just look at how TS4 splits all of the packs up into 3-4 different packs instead of putting them all into one fully fleshed out pack.
Luckily, TS3 is still available to play when I need a Generations fix, because I don't believe that a TS4 Generations pack would come close to giving simmers what they've been asking for. Not trying to be negative because it's actually one of my most desired packs, I'm just realistic and have learned not to get my hopes up for anything they do.
