He publishes a book-says +1 star but again, nothing. However, fame from the acting career rises normally. Reputation is also working fine. And i know that i can cheat fame, but i don't like doing that because I alway feel that I do it too soon. I have tried repairing the game in Origin.
The +1, +2 and +3 stars is just an estimate of how much fame your sim is earning. You won't see an actual star increase until you've done many more fame interactions. (Or something that adds a bunch of fame at once, like acting.)
