I'm just curious what the influencer career mentioned in the Key Features section on Get Famous' Origin page (quoted in the title) is. Is this a branch of the acting career or is it a separate career? So far, all of the content talking about GF has not mentioned it, which I think is strange, so I'm a little confused as to what it is. What do you guys think?

They don't call it a Style Influencer, it's just "influencer," and it involves livestreaming, which makes it seem like sims will essentially be "youtubers" for a living, not fashion icons. Because you can become famous from any career. Additionally, livestream is currently already in game using the computer.I'll have to see if you can do it through your phone. Many of those fashion influencers from YouTube have gone on to start boutiques, partner with established clothing brands. and truly have people following their advice and recommendations. I can see why Maxis went this route.

I assumed that livestreaming/vlogging was just an activity that any Sim could do to raise their fame.

Yep, I was thinking the same... there could probably a career like Social Media Influencer or any form of influencer... as some said, it could be a new or one of the interactions that can increase your fame & reputation. Say, if your Sims are a Politician for example, they could also be an influencer as well... and it will be easy for them to promote the cause..

Yeah, it does. It confirms influencer is the free career coming with the patch. So I guess they mention it in the pack description because it sounded too lame to only have one new career with the EP. :neutral:

I also remember that the FREE style influencer career we're getting was in the 'very early stages' when it was showcased in that Maxis Monthly stream only last month; certainly they didn't take a couple months to make the careers in an Expansion Pack of all things; the timing seems off.
