Long-term effects on the worlds

I just had a thought, how do certain things effect the world in the long run? I remember reading about how trendsetters have their clothes utilized even after their passing, and how apparently once you get Sulani clean, it stays clean permanently. Is this true? And how does it affect legacy players?
  • Once Sulani is clean, it stays that way. But there is still trash that will need to be picked up. I can't answer the part on how it affects legacy players.

As a conservationist, your Sim will never run out of things to do. The restoration of Mua Pel'am is a standalone thing which can be done by any and all Sims.
  • It's true that Sulani stays in it's "prettiest" form once it's cleaned up, but if a legacy player wanted to play through the Conservationist career again in a later generation, they absolutely could. There's always trash to be picked up and crabby Sims to scare off. As far as the trendsetters go, this is true. I'm not sure if there would be some kind of shift in style if you did the trendsetter career again in a later generation. That would add a dash of realism though, as trends do tend to change as time passes, while some things just stay classic.

Also don't forget that what is old, often comes back again. We've just gone through the 70s AGAIN. (I wasn't thrilled first time through, either.) And the 80s is now making a 'come-back'.
