I do have a backup of my screenshot folder. I am pretty finicky about taking backups.
What has turned black is the photos in frames on the walls of the sim's rooms and all photos that are held in the sim's inventory.

But, I have diligently carried out everything there and more ideas and not getting any joy.
Oh, I am so sorry. Perhaps, you should let them know it hasn't been 'cured' in your game. Yikes. They fix something and something else breaks! Oi!
