Lots of money: looking for ideas

Hello. So my sims have a lot of money and I'm looking for ideas in the game to spend it on. The obvious would be buying a new house/lot and/or adding more items to your house of an expensive variety.

I'm looking for any more ideas of in-game ways to spend money when you have extra money to spend.

  • Cats will also scratch furniture, if you're looking for a reason to change your furniture, get a cat and don't discipline it when it scratches the sofa and stuff.

With For Rent you can invest in property.  Didn't play landlord yet but it's probably another money pit, especially if you opt for luxurious decorations.

Get a materialistic girlfriend/boyfriend/mistress, etc. and shower her/him in expensive gifts.

Make sure to hire a klepto nanny, butler or gardener, you'll soon be replacing stuff on a regular basis. Also sharing is caring NAP, you could enforce it in your neghbourhood for a while and watch stuff disappear.

  • How much money do your Sims have and what packs do you have? It's hard to make suggestions without more details.

    • throw lavish in-game parties and give every guest that attends 10,000 simoleons and an expensive gift
    • add Sims to your household (for a gameplay reason - maybe your Sim is hosting a lottery) and then move them out again with a large amount of money (10-90% of your household's total wealth)
    • if any Sim moves out of the household, move them out with a ton of money
    • burn money, donate money, make it rain by the 10,000s (Get Famous)
    • use build items that increase bills

This is something I hadn't given a lot of thought to - but - as some of my sims have recently become multi-millionaires, it might be nice to have new luxury items to purchase for them. And not a "luxury pack" that has formal wear and a glittery table cloth. Maybe a full new-world expansion pack that is meant to be a residential destination for the elite? Monaco? Aspen? The Hamptons? Some sim-version of that sort of theme. Huge, expensive lots. Mansions galore. Opulent build mode items, Designer-style clothing. Maybe a new lot type involving some sort of elite shopping experience? New items to sell/buy in a retail sense such as gourmet foods, rare collectables, fine art, that sort of thing. New careers like CEO, day trader, accountant, management consultant, art dealer, elite jeweler, etc. New sim traits like neurotic, miser, perhaps even sociopathic? Haha Perhaps you could do ridiculous things that wealthy people do, such as putting diamond collars on your pets and designer clothes on your toddlers. In addition to maid, butler, and gardener - perhaps there could be a new service to hire for your home - live-in chef. At each meal time, your live-in chef automatically cooks an appropriate gourmet meal for the household and it is always "excellent" quality. Perhaps you could hire caterers for parties that serve drinks/food and also clean up behind your guests - simultaneously - so that your party is always clean and organized?
