Love Day In the Spring?

Today is Family Day in Canada. I suggest it also for your Sim families. :smile: I like to add this one to the calendar. It's nice to have an official holiday off work just for families to do something together.

My Sims just celebrated Harvest Day. I totally forgot to delete this one and set up Thanksgiving in its place. My Bad. Those ornery gnomes were on the list of goals. I cannot stand the little plums. Normally speaking they stay around long after the holiday that brought them to the lot. So, I gather them up and sell them. Yes, I do. Sorry, not sorry.

I don't like them being tied to the "Thanksgiving" holiday either, but I did give them their very own holiday in my game. :lol:

@Stormkeep, allow me to show you why I don't like the nasty little things.

This is a young Erik James Cantrell. He attempted to appease the gnome by offering it pie. This triggered the Gnome. Then Erik did his best to beg for forgiveness. What did he get for his sincere efforts? This:

@Elliandre How precious! I need to add that holiday in my game. Just another excuse for my Sims family to do an activity together! It’s even sweeter if the grandparents join in, though I already have Grandparents Day in my game ?.

@jpajari Grandparents Day is a great idea. I will add that one too thanks for mentioning that. I have lots of grandparents in my game. I love them so much. I grew up with my grandparents in another country and only got to visit them twice in my life, once as a child and once as a teenager, and on the 3rd time visiting as an adult I had only one grandmother left, so I love making grandparents a big part of my family gameplay. I always wished I had grandparents to grow up with.

@Elliandre Of course! I’m sorry to hear you’ve had little experiences with your own grandparents, but that makes those times all the more special! Yes, please post and tag me. I’d love to see Butter in your game!

When I used the 21-day season mod, I could arrange things better to my liking. 28 days for one season seems more like the Base game. I get bored of it dragging on and on and on. I make certain that New Year's Eve falls on the same day of the week as Winterfest one week later as it is in my hemisphere. I am aware that those down under celebrate this holiday in the summer. My Sims don't live down under, however. ;) Needless to say, I shall simply roll with it. I just happened to notice it just now and thought I would share.

I did switch some things around since I pulled the 21-day seasons mod out, but I didn't notice where Love day Fell. :open_mouth: Oh, well, restaurants seem to be nerfed. The couple had a successful holiday despite things, plus he's now working on the Love Aspiration: Soul Mates. This gave them 1/3 Gold awards for a date requirement. :)

It still feels like winter, with how chilly/cold (for this place that doesn’t snow, anyway) it gets on some days, so I think Feb is still part of winter or like a transitional season leading to spring, lol.
