If people couldn't form opinions before owning something, marketing would not be a thing.
The point of the marketing is to introduce a product to potential consumers and convince them to buy it, which means they want you to have an opinion about it. If you have absolutely no opinion about the product - any opinion, anything from mildly interested to absolutely disgusted - their marketing has failed.
