This exactly encompasses everything I wanted/wished for a in a walking trail for this world D: I didn't even think about the first point, but that would've been a great idea considering how Sims seem to get brokenhearted after a breakup. Many missed opportunities here (which is something I sadly say about almost every pack over the past few years).

And the omission of occults as someone who doesn’t even play with them is mind boggling.
I didn't even notice this but OMG you are so right! How could they miss that!!!

That's nice to know. I must have missed that, but it makes me happy to hear.
Obviously you have a point and it might impact gameplay in a massive way that we can't see, but to me it feels thin. I won't say that I'm not going to get it, but I won't get it at full price that's for sure.

Okay first of all, not liking these new forums AT ALL. They are SO inconvenient to use.
Now on topic, I just saw in one of the creator network videos the description of the pack features when you open the game, it includes the 'love blanket'. A Sims 2 or Sims 3 EP would NEVER include such a minor item in it's general description, it just screams 'not enough actual content'.

Unrelated, but I missed you Jerm. Glad to have you back

Well, infants are base game. A lot of the things for infants are exclusive to the pack. So I somewhat included them in growing together pack.
And the thing that I think is missing in lovestruck from watching videos is not big features but the little things. Which I do think growing together had more of. Treehouses, tooth fairy, kid bikes, new events, new lot type, stay overs, splash pad, etc.

Wow first time using the EA forums and it is just…so bad. 🤦 Like their “always have to be constantly online just to play” launcher.
Anyway, yea, wow, the dating app gameplay and overall turn on-off system is just…so out of touch. They try to make this pack mature but they handle it with kid gloves.
I won’t state my political compass, but I will say this, they are so out of touch if they’re unaware the dating is the ONE THING you are allowed to be discriminatory, provided you’re polite and without malice about it. Yes, real life people factor in their selection criteria for a romantic and sexual partner partly on genetic traits, including, yes, skin colour and body type. A lot of couples have split up because one of them gets too fat and racks up a nice hospital bill, or loses confidence when their partner is suddenly toned and the gym bros/babes where their partner exercises are hitting on them. Some people are into redheads, some people are into blondes, some people are into curly, and some are into frizzy. Yes, people do that in real life. That’s how it is. Accept it.
And that doesn’t even include real life factors that are more rigorous such as religious affiliation (let’s be real, interfaith relationships are hard to navigate when kids are planned in the future), financial and social stability (number one cause of divorce is not infidelity; it’s money. Any half-baked adult active in the dating scene knows it’s a red flag to marry someone with low credit score/student debt/just different social station altogether and saying otherwise because “true love conquers all” is a liar and they know it), or even as simple as social cliques.
I hope not to get banned for this, but I feel like this was just far too ridiculous and unreal that I had to call them out on it. This is supposed to be a life simulator. Ignoring reality for the sake of delicacy is just…ugh.

I don't have GRO, but doesn't it include board games and puzzles, too? I have this notion that the card game in Lovestruck is a reskin of something from GRO.

You are so right! And now that you mention it, I would love for there to be money/income versions to what you are attracted to (although there might be under one of the categories, I can't say that I looked all that hard for it).
Interfaith of course hard to do in a game with no religion, but the occult-part would be a good substitute. Coming from different worlds could also have been made a factor (maybe my sim thinks those Sulani-sims are the hottest thing in the world, but those people from Del Sol Valley are just so snobbish). There are so many things they could have done with that, but they went with the color of someone's clothes. 🤨Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed and that these forums need to be improved!

We also got a new venue type with GRO in the rec centre. Not the best execution of something, but still. And sleeping bags, and sleep overs, and suit cases...
There was definitely more content in that pack, even if some features might not work as well as intended.
