I feel the same way, I feel it is over the whole place and also it is confusing. Yes, the old forum was due for change, but not this kind of change and I might be coming less here.

I’m mostly enjoying the pack but the one thing I find negative, and I think it’s been constant with latest expansions, is the world seems too empty, both of things to do but mostly just of other sims.
As an example, in all of the official screenshots there have been lots of sims gathered around the romantic mural. In real life that would be absolutely packed at lunchtime with people sitting nearby or standing around it.
But asides from seeing sad bear there one time, I didn’t see anyone there all weekend. It’s not as bad as the for rent world was but if it felt a bit more bustling it would be one of my favourite worlds.
Also with seasons it’s often raining/thunder which kinda ruins how nice the world is. I think they should consider seasons more when making the new world, because it usually makes them worse rather than enhance them the way it does the older ones.

The axolotl thing got worse. I knew we couldn't sell them, but I figured I could still send them away via my inventory. So I had this thing in my inventory until the vacation ended and my sims returned home. Turns out I can't just tap a button and send it away. No, I have to go BACK to Enamorada, wait for one of the spawners to show up (if it does - it seems to be inconsistent) and do it through there. What is this? Why inconvenience players and make them jump through all these hoops? Is it because delivering a message about axolotl safety is more important than fun in a game? Because I don't think most people are going to be educated by a vague "No don't sell these things, they're endangered" message, and I don't think there's a lot of overlap between sims players and illegal animal traders. If a message was so important, why not do it in a way that adds gameplay and feels more natural?
EDIT: It gets so much worse when you think about it. Suppose you're collecting axolotls to get a specific one, or finish the collection. You'll get a ton of ones you don't want. But you can't sell them, you have to do everything above. But then I realized: this game makes it a problem if you sell them, but apparently it's perfectly okay to just pluck them out of their natural habitat and force them to breed? They're ruining their own message here.
Also, the axolotls are very low-poly, even if you don't get too close.
Also, I can't seem to drag the picnic blanket out of my sims' inventories, nor move it around. I have to place it manually from their inventory and move it via Build/Buy. I don't have the same issue with the costume trunk. This feels like an oversight, because it means my sims keep placing blankets in inconvenient places.

I was looking everywhere for lots to build a house yesterday and I must have missed two of them, as I'm sure I didn't see them yesterday. Must have been from being dazzled by flashing lights whilst watching the official French opening of the Olympic Games!
We have had two small updates after downloading, that haven't been acknowledged, for the game. One this afternoon. Wonder if they fixed anything?
I'm starting one Sim with a tent and toilet so they can go around and visit everything after getting rid of all jealousies in CAS. Cannot stand that at all.

It seems this "new" date system isn't that new and it really just recategorized names/types for the same BG system we had before? That's how it looked from let's play videos.

I don‘t like that doors remain visible on penthouse lots. It is annoying and bothers gameplay.

I tried a date at a restaurant venue with the new system. It kept spamming eating food and drinking drinks as date actions. Uh... you do this once normally. Then you can talk about the food. Plus it gives actions the Sim you're dating doesn't like. The Sim I was dating didn't like affection. Yet I was asked to do it multiple times. The date scores based on how many actions you complete, not on how satisfied your date becomes. You can have a gold star date even if they go away hating you.

Yes, totally agree. I often think this world has become so insane with political correctness that I don't belong here anymore. Am I allowed to say insane these days?
And why couldn't they just add an extra drop-down option for boyfriend/girlfriend/partner if they wanted to be inclusive? I want a boyfriend option for my straight gal sims, but now that is excluded. So how is that inclusive?

Both? Oh good to know! I thought there was only one haha
