For those who've known my Cole family for the last five years, should I remake Jack Avery and have them 'get back together'(even though it'll be the first time they'll be together at this point)?

From my own personal play style if I play a couple who has raised a family together I just can't picture playing them with someone else in any other game save that I have them in. To me it just feels wrong, but that's just me. :)
