Magical Beans!!!

@Lee12321 cool! He's a great companion... in many senses of that word. lol And yeah, the only three beans I've found in the game so far have been hidden in his pockets.

But yeah I guess the magic beans never left. I just have to figure out how to find them. So far it's only been in Patchy's pocket. I've only played for a year but this is the first bean I found. None of my collectors or anglers have ever found any. And the one I found after all of this time is a "common" one. And if it's a "common" I have no idea how I will ever find a "rare!"

I think you have to get your Sim up to level 10 gardening before you can start ordering the Rare seed packets. That's usually the best way to get them, but they're not cheap.

So I feel really stupid right now but I can not figure out how to buy anything but seasonal seeds and starter seed packets. Knox is a level 10 gardener so he should be able to buy all of the seeds, right? Could it be due to the season? It's winter right now, could that be it?

I don't think the season affects the availability of non-seasonal seed packets.

I know three ways to buy seed packets:
1. Click on a planter (Purchase Seeds)
2. Use the Order menu on the computer (Purchase Seeds or Purchase Gifts)
3. Use the Household menu on the phone (Purchase Gifts)

The Sim I'm playing right is only level 4 Gardening, so I can't check which ones have Rare packets.

Yeah, those are the only ways I know of too but both the planter only gives me the option to buy seasonal gifts, the computer "order..." menu only gives me the option to buy seasonal and the phone "purchase gift..." menu only lists starter and seasonal packs. As I said, Knox is level 10 so he should have access to all packs.

That's what I'm saying, there is no purchase seeds. there is only purchase starter seeds. I did find them in the build menu though! Thanks for that option. I'd forgotten about that one.

Okay so here's something interesting.

Camron, a level 7 gardener, has the option on the computer to order seeds and order seasonal seeds in the order menu but Knox, a level 10 gardener, only has the option to order seasonal seeds. I'm wondering if the character Knox is glitched? He came with the Eco Pack.

Another thing I've noticed about Knox is that he has gotten locked out of the house 3 different times. The only way I've been able to get him back in is to have him visit another lot then return home. I've tried resetting him, removing and re-adding the doors, making sure the doors aren't locked at all and everything else I can think of but having him travel is the only thing that works.

Anyway, so I did go into b/b mode and bought 10 packs of rare seeds. All of them were beans!!! All of them except one were beans the family already had but now they finally have the angry bean. So they're just missing the sad bean and they can finally grow this tree! This is turning out to be a quest for Knox.

I had forgotten until I was working on my house yesterday, if you get tired of trying to get them all the legitimate way, the beans can be found in buy mode. Just use bb.showHiddenObjects and they will be in decor- miscellaneous. I think if I wanted another tree I would do it that way, now that I've done it through gameplay already.
