I noticed that having a actor as one sim and having a singer as the other that the singer became famous faster. A singer is also pretty fun so far but she is only level one so we will see if it gets better. The problem is to be a singer you don't really get an audience that just sits and watches you. I am not sure if that changes as you become more famous but I also think there needs to be a way to have concerts. I am really hoping this is added in some kind of career pack or something. If not, I hope someone can mod it. From a coding perspective, I don't see why this couldn't have been added easily to this expansion. Mostly everything is already done and all they need is a stage much like the one that actors are on at a venue like they did in Sims 3. I know this has been said but, I am a little bit turned off by the $40 price tag but lack of celebrity career focused content. Its really not expansion pack worthy to me but hey whatever I already paid it.

I agree. They should have just called it Get Acting instead of Get Famous. XD I know they have the fame system and everything but it doesn't really do much for other careers other than getting fans, etc.

I don't have Get Famous yet, but will soon. So I decided I was going to start having a sim working on her singing gigs, but her problem is this. So far, I only experienced the fact that my other sim stepped into the spotlight due to selling a masterpiece painting which is something! Other than that, I have been playing with my actress sim. There isn’t just actresses but social media star and style influencer as well clearly - I just think gaining fame for painting is so much slower.

I don’t have get famous. But when I was playing as a singer/songwriter I had her play at a lounge. Then using GT had a club who would meet there to drink and watch performances. Guaranteed I always had an audience.

That is not the same thing as putting on a performance though. Obviously there are work arounds yet it still isn't authentic.
For instance, if you are giving a performance and there are chairs people dont sit. They instead crowd around.
Two, the payout is not equal to what a singer would get paid so you would have to cheat or use a mod that gives higher tips.. still not the same.
You can't go on tour. I can go on and on about how what you're saying doesn't equate to actually having a singer celebrity.

So my sim is also a singer, 4 star fame. I do find the more fame the more ppl watch you. But what I’ve done is created 3 clubs that just watch singers at certain locations. What I also do is my sims own a restaurant with a stage area. On nights when she preforms I up the % for the cost of food (kinda like a dinner and show fee) and I purchase the rush perk. You’ll get sims watching her they even come out of there seats sometimes to go up close and cheer or bob along. Oh and I normally get her to use the karaoke to sing unless she has a new single out whitch she first sings with the drone and realese the video than live at the restaurant.

Try to do it without the busking thing. I use just the piano or a guitar and they get much more viewers and fame that way. Also, if you use the drone it will get you fame too.

Except they don't really stay and gather around. They tip and leave to do something else. When your sim became more famous do they stick around and watch longer? My sim is only one star.
