I noticed that having a actor as one sim and having a singer as the other that the singer became famous faster. A singer is also pretty fun so far but she is only level one so we will see if it gets better. The problem is to be a singer you don't really get an audience that just sits and watches you. I am not sure if that changes as you become more famous but I also think there needs to be a way to have concerts. I am really hoping this is added in some kind of career pack or something. If not, I hope someone can mod it. From a coding perspective, I don't see why this couldn't have been added easily to this expansion. Mostly everything is already done and all they need is a stage much like the one that actors are on at a venue like they did in Sims 3. I know this has been said but, I am a little bit turned off by the $40 price tag but lack of celebrity career focused content. Its really not expansion pack worthy to me but hey whatever I already paid it.

I've been playing a singer-songwriter who started her trek to fame through singing, piano, and writing songs. But no they don't perform on a stage. That would be nice.

I agree. They should have just called it Get Acting instead of Get Famous. XD I know they have the fame system and everything but it doesn't really do much for other careers other than getting fans, etc.

I don't have Get Famous yet, but will soon. So I decided I was going to start having a sim working on her singing gigs, but her problem is this. So far, I only experienced the fact that my other sim stepped into the spotlight due to selling a masterpiece painting which is something! Other than that, I have been playing with my actress sim. There isn’t just actresses but social media star and style influencer as well clearly - I just think gaining fame for painting is so much slower.

I also made my sim get famous by making them a gym star by using the drone. That and doing vlogs it got them famous pretty fast. I imagine if your sim recorded themselves doing their masterpieces they would get famous fast.

Except they don't really stay and gather around. They tip and leave to do something else. When your sim became more famous do they stick around and watch longer? My sim is only one star.

Yes they do stick around longer, and a bigger crowd forms and gets excited and cheers - for 3+ star celebs. But... it seems they also stop tipping very much after a certain stage.

I took the tip that making a couple of groups that like to watch performances deals with the having an audience issue. Also, if you make the group like to drink or talk will make them sit with a drink while watching you perform. Adds some realism to certain venues.

As you see here people are sitting by the pool listening to my performer who is a level 2 almost 3 celebrity. Tips are still garbage so I just cheat and pay my sim $1k a night per venue.

They might add a recording studio object at some point, but I doubt it, We can use the drone to record any "concerts" we give out in public and then download them on the video machine or just perform in front of the video machine to record a digital "album". These could be used in a recording studio build.

They sit down and watch if they are part of a group that watches entertainment as an activity.

Singing isn't from Get Famous, it's a skill from City Living. And yes, teens can do it as well.
